A Ação de Renovação Cristã foi constituída anexa à Igreja Lusitana Evangélica de S. Paulo e tinha como sua sede a rua das Janelas Verdes (Convento dos Marianos).
Destinava-se a desenvolver a acção cristã entre os jovens cristãos de Portugal e o bem geral dos seus associados, promovendo, simultaneamente, o desenvolvimento físico, social e intelectual.
O seu primeiro presidente foi o Reverendo António Pinto Ribeiro Júnior. Os secretários foram Leopoldo de Figueiredo e Felícia Fiandor dos Santos.
