A União Cristã Evangélica foi uma organização feminina, anexa à Igreja de S. Paulo em Lisboa, com estatutos e regulamento interno elaborados por Thomas Pope e Joaquim dos Santos Figueiredo. Em 1904 foram elaborados novos estatutos. Era constítuida pela Presidente, secretária, tesoureira, vogal e membros ativos. Existia ainda uma secçã infantil: membros dos 8 aos 15 anos. Lavínia Figueiredo, Isménia Baptista foram professoras de leitura da 1ª e 2ª classes; Instrução Primária, 3ª e 4ª classes; leitura instrutiva e recreativa, de quinze em quinze dias.

The Christian Evangelical Union was a women's organization, attached to the Church of S. Paulo in Lisbon, with statutes and internal regulations drawn up by Thomas Pope and Joaquim dos Santos Figueiredo. In 1904 new statutes were drafted. It was constituted by the President, secretary, treasurer, member, and active members. There was also a children's section: members from 8 to 15 years old. Lavínia Figueiredo, Isménia Baptista was reading teachers in the 1st and 2nd classes; Primary Education, 3rd and 4th classes; instructive and recreational reading every fifteen days.
